Who is the nameless artist and Vtuber “Unnämed”? !

"Unnämed" is a musician and VTuber who is active as a "nameless artist."😊
Amazingly, the number of YouTube channel subscribers has exceeded 310,000 in less than 8 months since the first post!
Furthermore, he is a very popular artist with several videos that have been viewed over 1 million times!
The reason there is no name is
「『I want to be recognized by my voice, not my name.』
『I want to be known for my singing voice, not my name.』
…
I thought it would be cool if there was a setting like that, but I just couldn't think of a name for the activity.''
What...? ! (lol)
Fans nicknamed him "U-san" after taking the first letter of his name.💙
The fan name is a play on Unnämed's "U" and "ghost," and is called "U-rei."
It seems that Unnämed liked what the fans were using voluntarily and is using it officially as it is.♪
Unnämed usually distributes original songs and Utagattemita music on YouTube, X (formerly Twitter), Spotify, etc.♪
In addition, the company's stance is to broadcast irregularly and not leave archives.
As a fan, I think it's frustrating, but I think that's what makes it so appealing🤭
Unnämed has a passion for music and continues to sing even though he has a diverse past.
He has a great sense of humor and mischief, and is truly a charming person.
In the interview, Unnämed himself talked a lot about his past, his thoughts on music, and his relationship with his fans, so please look forward to it! !😍
Unnämed will hold Alta's first mini live! A surprise for fans' support ads? !
It all started with the "Let me Rooting for U Summer Song Half Anniversary Project" planned by U-rei fans!

This project is to commemorate the half-year anniversary of the release of Unnämed's first original song "Summer Song".BirthdayThe idea was to advertise support through club fans.
The location of the support advertisement was also the setting for “Summer Song”109 Forum Vision in Shibuya!
of the planners
“I would like to express my gratitude to Unnämed through the street vision.
And I want to make that singing voice echo under the summer sky」
Many people agreed with this idea, and we achieved the initial target amount in just 3 hours from the start of recruitment!
After that, many supporters gathered, and finally, in addition to Shibuya 109 Forum Vision,Veats Shibuya VisionandLED ad trackSupport advertisement has been decided for✨

In fact, Unnämed has many overseas fans, and more than 50% of his supporters this time were overseas fans.😊
We had people who actually came to Japan from overseas to see us, and people who couldn't make it to Japan take photos of their own icons, goods, and support advertisements! Some people have posted reports!
It's truly full of kindness and love.😭
In fact, this project became a big topic on social media during the planning stage, and it even reached U-san himself.😳
And when Unnämed found out about this project...
Decided to hold a mini live at Shinjuku Alta Vision!!

It started with a great project, and it was a mini live show in return. It was the happiest day to meet so many U-rei friends🤍🖤💙
Thank you so much to the planning staff, U-san, and everyone involved!

Surprisingly... the hashtags "#rootingfor_U" and "#dear_u_san" were trending twice on X (formerly Twitter) on that day! !
The support advertisement and mini-live became a hot topic, and although it will be missed, it ended as a great success.
We asked Unnämed to tell us all about the support advertisement and mini-live!
There are many stories that fans are interested in, such as how they felt when they found out about the support advertisement, what they wanted to convey in the mini-live, what Unnämed was doing that day...😊

This time, we will deliver an interview focusing on Mr. Unnämed himself.♪
[Super valuable] Direct interview with Unnämed! We asked him about his past, music, and fans!
Who is the nameless artist “Unnämed”?
Birthdaystaff:I understand that you are involved in various activities such as being a musician and broadcasting on YouTube, but could you please introduce yourself in U-san's words?
Mr. Unnamed:I am working as an artist without a name.
That's why it doesn't have a name,
I want to be recognized by my voice, not my name.
I want to be known for my singing voice, not my name.
I thought it would be cool if there was a setting like that, but I just couldn't think of a name for the activity (lol)
Birthdaystaff:When I saw it on your profile, I laughed a little!
Mr. Unnamed:He has this kind of personality.
I can't be serious (lol)
Basically, we distribute music on YouTube, X (formerly Twitter), and Spotify.
At the moment, most of the songs I sing are cover songs rather than original songs, but I release these songs on a regular basis, about once a month.
I don't do any streaming at all...
After all, when you think of a Vtuber, you get the impression that they stream every day, but I don't do that at all.
Sometimes I come up with an idea and want to stream it myself, or I say "I can't resist" to Egosatag (lol)
I only broadcast it when I see it.
So I thought I'd like to enrich it with just song content if possible.
After all, I feel that music is the thing that helps me the most.
We update it about once a month.
We don't want it to be just a song...a special instrumental we created ourselves.
Birthdaystaff:How do you choose cover songs?
Mr. Unnamed:If possible, I try to write songs that everyone would be happy to hear. All of the instrumentals are made by myself and my band members. The song with the most views is Kenshi Yonezu's song ``KICK BACK,'' which I think has around 1.2 million views.
Birthdaystaff: Wow... that's amazing.
Mr. Unnamed:It's basically a rock style.
It's rock, but it's like, ``What kind of rock would it be if Unnämed sang?''
If possible, I really don't want it to be just a song.
So, all of the songs I've released are special instrumentals created by me and my band members.
In particular, I think the guitar will be a really shining instrument.
It's an instrumental made mainly by myself and the guitarist!
Birthdaystaff:The range of genres of songs is very wide.
Mr. Unnamed: That's right. Generally speaking, the focus is on anime songs and Vocaloid songs.
There are songs like ``It's Good to Die'' that I simply like.
It looks like I'll be going a million times soon.
Thank you very much.
Actually, I'm planning to release one this month as well.
(The cover song for “Idol” was released on September 15th!)
Birthdaystaff: What medium will I be able to hear it first?
Mr. Unnamed:It's YouTube.
We usually have a premiere, and even then, we wait until the premiere to find out what songs will be played.
The selection of songs is also very important.
Everyone said, “I want to cherish that feeling of anticipation, like, “I wonder what U-san will sing next.”So.
If possible, I try to choose songs that everyone would be happy to hear.
The stream will be released around the time when I thought “I want to meet you soon.”
Birthdaystaff:Is there a reason why it hasn't been streamed much?
Mr. Unnamed: Um... I'm not good at talking...
Birthdaystaff: Please don't lie! (lol)
Mr. Unnamed:(lol)
But I don't know...it's just a selfish way of thinking, but if you stream it every day, people will have to go watch it every day.
The side that supports you.
I think that would be difficult for both the person pushing and the person being pushed.
So it's not a long distance relationship,I feel like I want to show up when I say, ``I want to see you soon.''
But the biggest thing is definitely mental.
Things are much better now, but six months ago I was already in a state where I would burst into tears just by pressing the broadcast button.
I have a sense of pride in not wanting to appear in front of the fans in such a situation.
When I appear on streams or collaborations, I want to show my shining self, and I want to be confident.
Now that I have chosen to continue singing even though I have tasted the bitter end,
Birthdaystaff:I'd like to ask you about U-san's backbone. Did you grow up overseas?
Mr. Unnamed:I've been moving around overseas. I was born in Japan.
But I was only there until I was 3 years old, so I've been overseas ever since.
Birthdaystaff:So you came back to Japan two years ago.
I think you've been active as a member of U-san for half a year now, but did you start your career as a singer before that?
Mr. Unnamed:There's a character setting video called Lore Video.
Honestly, I can't say much, but I tried to put everything into this video.
Originally, I was just an ordinary musician.
Birthdaystaff:What made you decide to become a singer?
Mr. Unnamed:This is going to be a very serious topic, but is it okay? (lol)
Originally, he was an artist with a label overseas.Yes.
However, the producer I was working with was very strict.
To the drums: ``You can't even play the drums like I said, damn it.''
I was like, ``Isn't it worth it to be doing music?''
So the members kept changing, and it wasn't fun to do music in a place like this.
At that time, I was also doing music while working at a company and saving up money to pursue music.
I was able to keep going even though I was in a very difficult environment because I had friends who played music with me.
I don't want the dream I had to end up being just a dream.
But when the rest of the members became me and the guitar player, I finally quit being the guitarist.
I was thinking that I still have to chase my dreams,
The producer even changed the vocalist.
I learned about it through advertisements.
Like this Shibuya support advertisement.
"Major debut!"
When I saw that, I became depressed.
I couldn't trust anyone anymore.
I started to distrust humans.
I've been stuck at home for three months, and I've started relying on Uber Eats and delivery services for food...
I started to vomit when I went out in front of people...Yeah...I got scared of people's eyes.
To that producer
"Your voice is lacking in charm, so you'll have to work harder than others."
That's what I was often told.
So, this is how it turned out.
If you do this, you can still hide your true face, and the other person won't be able to see what you look like.
Also, above all, I don't have to go outside.
Even so, I couldn't give up on my dream.
I think that's why the fans put out support ads.
I think the advertisement was the one that made me depressed, and I think they wanted to let me know that I'm rooting for them.
Birthdaystaff:I felt like I understood the meaning of Lore video a little bit.
Mr. Unnamed:If I showed everything in its entirety, it would be too realistic, so I changed the content a bit to make it more dimensional.
It is based on what actually happened.
It's really based on something that happened to me.
Birthdaystaff:As I listened to you talk, I thought it was great to live in an era where you could be a Vtuber or a singer.
Mr. Unnamed: I'm happy. I hope you can see it that way.
I consider myself more than a Vtuber.Musician using Live2DThat's how I put it.
Unnämed's support advertisement, more than half of the supporters are overseas fans!
Birthdaystaff:I think you mentioned that you have a lot of overseas fans. This support advertisement alsoIn fact, more than 50% of our supporters are from overseas. It was.

Mr. Unnamed:Ah, it's Taiwan after all.
Poland too!
After all, there are many in Asia.
It was my first time to go to Mexico.
Wow, you're supporting me so much...
I feel like crying...
Birthdaystaff:Is the reason there are more people in Taiwan, South Korea, and Hong Kong because they are more active?
Mr. Unnamed:It's broadcast at night in Japan, right?
In Taiwan, the time difference is only one hour.
In America, it's morning.
I think it's easy to see people gathering at night in Japan.
Next: "I want to stand on stage. I want to perform live."
Birthdaystaff:Do you have any vision for it to be expanded globally in the future?
Mr. Unnamed:I really want to be on stage.
I want to perform live.
I think this time was also the first step towards that goal.
I want people to see me on stage.
Birthdaystaff:Does it have nothing to do with Japan or other countries?
Mr. Unnamed:Regardless of the country, it's a world where you can do anything as long as you have the internet.
I want to stand on stage.
Birthdaystaff: At that time, you were not looking like a Vtuber, but in your real life?
Mr. Unnamed: I don't think I'll show my real face. myself.
What comes to mind now is 3D.
For singers who don't show their faces, only their shadows are shown.
Connect by communicating in English
Birthdaystaff:I think you mainly distribute and send information in English, but is there a reason for using English?
Mr. Unnamed:It's easier to connect with various people when you speak English.
The biggest reason is that I started my activities in English.
I'm originally a Japanese person who was active overseas, so I think it's easier to do things in English.
Birthdaystaff:By the way, which is easier to communicate in English or Japanese?
Mr. Unnamed:Hmm, of course it's Japanese!
But actually, sometimes when I'm thinking in English and when I'm thinking in Japanese, things get quite mixed up.
I speak four languages: Japanese, English, Korean, and Thai.
Birthdaystaff: That's amazing!
Mr. Unnamed:More than 90% of my work is in English.
Unnämed's "Mama" is a divine presence for fans!
Birthdaystaff:Was U-san's illustrations drawn by someone overseas?
Mr. Unnamed: That's right. The person who drew this body was a Vietnamese illustrator “Crab (@Kanishiima)"That's right.
He is also the one who drew the illustrations for ``Summer Song,'' and they are working hard together.
Manager:For U-san fans, Kanishiima is also like a god! (lol)
Birthdaystaff: That's right! (lol)
Mr. Unnamed: Isn't there a word for "amen"?
“Kanimen” and “Yumen”! (lol)
Birthdaystaff: How do you meet people like this?
Mr. Unnamed:I'm originally a fan.
Something like “Oshi no Ko” (lol)
I've always been a Kanishima fan myself!
I saw someone drawing about myself, and I thought it was someone who drew really attractive illustrations.
Things like ``Summer Song'' and Live2D (they drew it for me).
In the VTuber industry, the person who draws the live 2D is called a mom.
Birthdaystaff: So, Kanishima-san is U-san's mom!
Let's worship it. (lol)
The original song is based on Unnämed's actual experience.
Birthdaystaff: I think fans are always looking forward to the release of U-san's songs.
Where do you get your motivation and inspiration when creating original songs?
Mr. Unnamed:Everything I sing is based on my own experiences.
What I experienced, what I really thought.
Even if you really want to convey what you're thinking to others, it's still difficult to find words, isn't it?
or cause misunderstandings. Sometimes the meaning that I really wanted to convey wasn't conveyed properly.
When I want to preserve something in some form, I find it very easy to do music.
I usually compose a song when I have something that has been building up in my heart that I can't get out.
For Unnämed, "singing is about making connections"
Birthdaystaff: No, it's really cool!
I think you've tried singing in many different genres so far, but is there any genre you'd like to sing in the future?
Mr. Unnamed:This time I tried an EDM style, soI want to try something a little more pop-oriented, and I also want to try rapping. That's right.
This time too, I'm introducing something that sounds like rap, but I'd like to try a full-fledged rap as well.
Also, I would like to sing with someone. Even original songs.
As for the cover song, I sang a song called ``Odori'' with a friend called Dacapo from Thailand, and that also got a million views.
Birthdaystaff:Is there anyone you would like to collaborate with?
Mr. Unnamed:I'm not a VTuber.
I think it would be fun to sing with a singer or artist who is active on the internet, rather than a VTuber.
I think it would be fun to do something that goes beyond the boundaries of being a VTuber.
Birthdaystaff: I'm looking forward to it!
Is it possible to collaborate with real artists?
Mr. Unnamed:I think it's possible!
I would like to try it.
A letter from U-rei that will make you smile
Birthdaystaff:You communicate closely with your fans through hashtags and other means.
What do messages and comments from fans mean to U-san?
Mr. Unnamed:It feels like a letter, to me.
I think the fans also post like fan letters.
For me, it feels like reading a letter.
I love letters so much!
I love it.
flowers and letters.
Birthdaystaff:Even in the support advertisement, people brought flowers!
Mr. Unnamed: All my fans know that I love flowers.
Birthdaystaff: How do you feel when you see the hashtag “#dear_u_san”?
Mr. Unnamed:It still feels like you're reading a letter, but sometimes there are kids who write silly things to you.
To make myself laugh.
When I saw that, I was like, “Damn! I laughed at that!” (laughs)
He's trying to make me smile.
I don't know how to say it in Japanese, but in English it's "caring."
I guess the word "compassion" comes close to that.
It feels amazing to know that people care about me.
Everyone knows that I live alone, so I can understand why they're worried about me.
I feel every day that they tell me, ``We're connected,'' ``I see you,'' and ``I love you even today.''
For Unnämed, what does communication with U-rei mean?
Birthdaystaff: As U-san said, I think you have a very close relationship with your fans. What kind of communication do you have with your fans?
Mr. Unnamed:After all, it's the internet, so it's easy to lose connection here.
Before I know it, some people delete their accounts and move on, and some people with my information don't even think about it, just reveal it and then disappear.
It's an environment that can be used for both good and bad things.
In that sense, it is extremely difficult to build relationships of trust in the Internet environment.
Especially if you're a stupidly honest person like me (lol)
That's why I think it's important.
I've often wondered why people spend so much time on the Internet, and I think it's because they're tired of the real world.
This is because there are times like myself when I want to have an avatar in the virtual world and distance myself from reality.
I think most people don't use their real names on the internet and don't show their faces.
In such a situation, a place where you can connect with your heart...
Whether it's a lie or not, I think that part will be lost, but it's like an environment where you can be the person you want to be.
Even in such a situation, there are still bonds that are formed.
That's how I feel.
I think it's attractive.
Birthdaystaff: I also saw U-san's SNS, and I thought it was really wonderful to see that both U-san and U-rei care for each other.
Mr. Unnamed:Recently, an organizer in Thailand organized a project called ``Gift Receive.''
When we went to an event in Thailand, they said, ``We'll collect letters and presents from our fans, and after checking the contents, we'll give them to you.''
The Internet is also the reason for this.
The people in Thailand are making preparations, and the people in Taiwan and Japan are thinking, "How can we get the goods to Thailand?" (laughs)
Thankfully.
What I would like to do with U-rei is 〇〇!
Birthdaystaff: Is there anything U-san would like to do with fans in the future?
Mr. Unnamed:After all, the real pleasure for me is music.
I'd like to do a project where all my fans can be involved in their own music videos.
I think they will announce the project itself in the near future.
Birthdaystaff:What are the specific ways to participate?
Mr. Unnamed: Well, as far as what I can talk about right now...I guess I'll be participating in the event with a "drawing".
For example, I'm thinking about the character design of everyone who supports U-san, which is called "U-reisona", and what they look like when they're supporting U-san.
This is a plan using that.
Birthdaystaff: That's interesting!
In the future, if you receive support advertisements from fans like this one, do you think you would like to prepare another surprise project?
Mr. Unnamed: That's right.
It depends on how much I can do, but since I receive a lot of donations and donations, I feel like I need to use them for activity expenses.
I can't afford luxury, so I thought I'd do it here.
What is your future vision as Unnämed?
Birthdaystaff:As U-san, do you have a vision of what kind of activities you would like to do in the future?
Mr. Unnamed:The other day, I wrote down 100 things I wanted to try.
In the anime,It's like a list of 100 things I want to do before joining the band.
You talked about seeing it in the Twitter space.
I thought we'd try writing one too, but I think we only managed to write 88.
It would be nice if we could satisfy that first.
Birthdaystaff:Can you tell me just 2 or 3 items?
Mr. Unnamed: Hmm, that's embarrassing (lol)
I like voice acting, so I guess it's narration.
As you can probably tell by watching the Lore video, I also love acting.
Do you want to do voice work?
Also, I want to sing some theme songOr something.
The biggest thing is that I want to do a concert in 3D.Or something.
What I wrote about other than musicians:
I want to get a dog... (lol)
There was a time when I felt helplessly cornered, thinking, ``I don't know what to do next.''
There was a time, especially last December, when I complained to my friends that I didn't have the confidence to survive.
At that time, he said, ``Okay, it's not about giving me a reason to live, but rather, why don't you get a cat?''
When I asked her why, she said, ``No, if you keep a cat, you won't die.''
When I said, ``I'd rather have a dog than a cat,'' he said, ``Then a dog is fine.'' (lol)
I would like to have a dog.
You have to be independent in some way to own a dog, right?
The apartment I live in now doesn't allow pets (lol)
Also, if you don't have a steady income, you won't be able to buy food.
I think that will give you a lot of opportunities.
My mascot character is a dog named Mephisto.
This dog is a devil, though.
It's the devil that appears in Lore Video.
I feel sorry for Mephisto, but I want a real dog, not a demon (lol)
Birthdaystaff:What kind of person do you want to be 5 or 10 years from now?
Mr. Unnamed:I haven't thought about it.
I give it my all every day.
Birthdaystaff: I see. After talking with you this time, I got the impression that you are living in the moment!
Mr. Unnamed: When you work for a company, you're told to think about where you'll be in 3, 5, or 10 years.
I haven't thought about it at all, myself.
I don't know when it will disappear.
That's why I think even the kids who are pushing with all their might should push while they can.
I haven't thought about it.
I just update the best I can every time.
Birthdaystaff:Then, let's start by getting a dog! (lol)
Mr. Unnamed:Wow! I'm getting a headache! (lol)
Birthdaystaff:(lol)
That’s all for this interview!

How did you like the two-part interview with Unnämed?😊
We hope you enjoy hearing about his past, music, and relationship with fans straight from his own mouth.✨
In the interview, I was impressed by the gap in his ability to use humor while speaking seriously about serious matters!
Especially when he talks about music, he's just like a musician! !
Continuing to face your own background and musicMr. Unnämed was a very nice person, and each word had a lot of weight to it.
Once again, I would like to thank all the people who planned the support advertisements and supporters,They planned a mini-live and kindly accepted interviews.Thank you, Unnamed!
We will continue to do our best to support those who are pushing forward!
