Who is the Vtuber Unnämed, an artist with no name? !
"Unnämed" is a musician and VTuber who works as an "nameless artist."😊
In just under 8 months since my first post, the number of YouTube channel subscribers has exceeded 310,000!
Furthermore, he is a highly anticipated artist with many videos that have over 1 million views!
The reason why there is no name is
「『I want to be recognized by my voice, not by my name』
『I want to be known for my singing voice, not my name』
…
I thought it would be cool if there was a setting like that, but I simply couldn't come up with a name for the activity."
What is it...? ! (lol)
Fans take the initials of their names and are nicknamed "U-san."💙
The fan name is a word game that combines Unnämed's "U" and "ghost", and is called "U-rei."
It seems that Unnämed liked the ones that the fans used independently, and is now using it officially.♪
Unnämed usually distributes original songs and music on YouTube, X (formerly Twitter), Spotify, etc.♪
Additionally, the stance is that the distribution is irregular and no archives are left behind.
As a fan, I think it's frustrating! But I think that's what makes it so appealing too 🤭
Unnämed has a passion for music and continues to sing even though he has a variety of pasts.
He's full of humor and playfulness, and he's truly charming.
In the interview, Unnämed himself spoke to us a lot about his past, his thoughts on music, and his relationship with his fans, so please look forward to it! !😍
Unnämed will be holding Alta's first mini live show! A reverse surprise to a fan support ad? !
The beginning was the "Let me Rooting for U Summer Song Half Anniversary Project" planned by a U-rei fan!
This project commemorates the half-year anniversary of Unnämed's first original song, Summer Song.BirthdayThe idea was to launch a support ad through crowdfans.
The support ads were also featured in the setting of Summer Song.109 Forum Vision in Shibuya!
The planners
"I want to express my gratitude to Unnämed through my street vision.
And I want to make that singing sound resonate under the summer sky」
Many people agreed with this, and we reached our initial target amount within just three hours of recruitment!
Many supporters continued to gather after that, and in the end, in addition to the Shibuya 109 Forum Vision,Veats Shibuya VisionandLED AdtrackSupporting ads have been decided✨

In fact, Unnämed has many overseas fans, and over 50% of the supporters this time were overseas fans.😊
People who actually came to see it from overseas to Japan, and even though they couldn't go to Japan, they took photos of their own icons, merchandise and support ads! Some of you have posted a report about it!
It's truly full of kindness and love😭
In fact, this project became a big topic on social media during the planning stage, and it also reached U-san himself.😳

Starting with a great project, we had a mini live performance as a gift. It was a happiest day to meet so many U-rei members 🤍🖤💙
Thank you very much to everyone involved in the planning, U-san, and all involved!

On the day, the hashtags "#rootingfor_U" and "#dear_u_san" became a double trend on X (formerly Twitter)! !
The support ads and mini live performances became a huge topic, and although they were sadly grateful, they ended with great success.
Unnämed spoke to us all about the support ads and mini live performances!
The stories are all interesting to fans, such as their thoughts when they learned about the support ads, what they wanted to share with them in the mini live show, what Unnämed was doing on the day, etc.😊

This time, we will be bringing you an interview focused on Unnämed himself.♪
[Super rare] Direct interview with Unnämed! We've got a deep dive into the past, music, and fans!
Who is the artist "Unnämed" who has no name?
Birthdaystaff: I think you are involved in a variety of activities, such as musicians and YouTube streaming, can you please introduce yourself again in U-san's words?
Unnämed: I am working as an artist without a name.
That's why there's no name,
I want to be recognized by my voice, not by my name
I want to be known for my singing voice, not my name
I just couldn't come up with the name of the activity, thinking it would be cool if there was a setting like that (lol)
Birthdaystaff: When I saw it on my profile, I laughed a little!
Unnämed:That's how it is.
I can't be serious lol
Basically, we distribute music on YouTube, X (formerly Twitter), Spotify, etc.
The most common one is currently more cover songs that have been sung rather than original songs, but I regularly release them about once a month.
I don't broadcast at all...
I think when you think of Vtubers, you probably imagine them as if they're streaming every day, but I don't do it at all.
I sometimes get to think of it and want to stream it myself, or say "I can't stand it" on the egosa tag (lol)
I only broadcast it when I see it.
If that's the case, I would like to enrich the song content if possible.
After all, I feel that music is the thing that stands out the most.
We update it about once a month.
I don't want to just sing... a special instrumental piece we make ourselves
Birthdaystaff:How do you choose the cover songs?
Unnämed: If possible, I try to make a song that would be happy if everyone listened to it. All instrumentals are made by myself and the band members. The song with the most views is "KICK BACK" by Yonezu Kenshi, and I think it's currently around 1.2 million views.
Birthdaystaff: Amazing... that's amazing.
Unnämed: It's basically rock-like.
It's rock, but it's like, "What kind of rock would it be if Unnämed sang?"
If possible, I really don't want to just sing.
So, all the songs I've released are special instrumentals made by me and the band members.
I think the guitar in particular will be an instrumental piece that is incredibly shiny.
This is an instrumental piece that is created mainly by myself and a guitarist!
Birthdaystaff: The range of songs is very broad.
Unnämed:I agree. The focus is generally on anime songs and Vocaloid songs.
Some of the songs I simply like are my favorites.
I think I'll be going 1 million times in a little while.
I'm grateful.
Actually, I'm about to release one this month too.
(The cover song for "Idol" was released on September 15th!)
Birthdaystaff:In which medium will you be able to listen to first?
Unnämed: It's YouTube.
They'll generally be premiering, so I'll be looking forward to seeing which songs they'll be on sale after the premiere comes.
Choosing songs is also very important.
Everyone said, "I want to value such a sense of anticipation, such as, "What will U-san sing next?"So.
If possible, I try to choose songs that would be happy if everyone listened to them.
The broadcast was about to be "I'd like to meet you soon."
Birthdaystaff:Is there a reason why they haven't been broadcasting much?
Unnämed:Um...I'm not good at talking...
Birthdaystaff: Don't lie! (lol)
Unnämed:(lol)
But I wonder...it's a selfish way of thinking, but when you stream every day, everyone feels like they have to go and watch it every day.
The one who's supporting me.
I think that would make it difficult for both the people who support them and the people who are support them.
So it's not a long distance relationship,There are some things that I want to appear when I think, "I'm about to meet you soon."
But the biggest thing is mentality.
It's much better now, but six months ago, I was already crying just by pressing the streaming button.
I feel pride in myself because I don't want to be in front of the fans in such a situation.
When I appear in streams or collaborations, I want to show how bright I am and be a self-confident.
Even after suffering the hardships, I have chosen to continue singing
Birthdaystaff: I would like to ask you about the backbone of U-san, but what kind of thing do you mean growing up overseas?
Unnämed: I'm moving overseas. Born in Japan.
But I was only around 3 years old, so I've been abroad ever since then.
Birthdaystaff: So you returned to Japan two years ago.
I think U-san has been active for six months, but have you been working as a singer since before that?
Unnämed: There's a video with a character setting called Lore Video.
To be honest, I can't say much about it, but I'm trying to pack everything into this video.
Originally, he was just an ordinary musician.
Birthdaystaff: What made you decide to work as a singer?
Unnämed:This is going to be a very heavy story, is that okay? (lol)
Originally an artist with a label overseas. That's it.
But the producer I had worked with was a very strict person.
The drums said, "You can't play the drums the way I say it, damn it."
Like, "It's not worth making music, isn't it?"
So the members have changed rapidly, and it's not fun to play music in places like this.
At that time, I was working at a company and saving up the money to do music,
I was able to continue because I had friends who would play music with me even in a very difficult environment.
He doesn't want the dreams he has to end as just a dream.
But when the rest of the members became guitarists with me, I finally stopped playing guitar.
But still, I was thinking that I had to pursue my dreams,
The producer has finally changed his vocalist.
The reason I found out about this was advertising.
It's like the Shibuya support ad this time.
"Major debut!"
Seeing this made me depressed.
No one could believe it.
I'm starting to distrust people.
I stayed at home for three months and started relying on delivery for Uber Eats and other foods...
When I come out in front of people, I start to vomit...Yes...I'm starting to get scared of other people's eyes.
To that producer
"Your voice is unbelievable, so you have to put in more effort than other people."
That was often said.
So it turned out like this.
If this were to happen, I could still hide my true face, and the other person wouldn't be able to understand what kind of face he was.
And more than anything, I don't have to go outside.
Even so, I still couldn't give up on my dreams.
I think that's why fans put out supportive ads.
I think he wanted to tell them that he was rooting for him in the advertisement that made him depressed.
Birthdaystaff: I felt like I had understood a little about the meaning of Lore video.
Unnämed: It's so realistic that it's been changed to something a little different than anything if it's released.
It's based on what happened in reality.
It's really made based on what happened to me.
Birthdaystaff: I was listening to the story that it was great to be a Vtuber, or rather, I was able to become a singer in this way.
Unnämed:I'm happy. I hope you take it that way.
I am more of a Vtuber than a Vtuber,Musicians using Live2DI'm trying to say that.
More than half of Unnämed's support ads are overseas fans!
Birthdaystaff: I think you said there are many fans overseas. This support ad is alsoIn fact, over 50% of supporters are from overseas. It was.

Unnämed:Ah, it's Taiwan after all.
Poland too!
There are a lot of Asian countries after all.
It's my first time in Mexico.
Wow, you're supporting me so much...
I'm going to cry...
Birthdaystaff: Is the reason why the more people in Taiwan, Korea and Hong Kong are because they were active?
Unnämed: It's night time in Japan that's streaming.
In Taiwan, there is only an hour's time difference.
In America, it's mornings.
I think people will gather at night in Japan.
Next up is "I want to stand on stage. I want to do a live performance."
Birthdaystaff:Do you have any visions that it will be expanded worldwide in the future?
Unnämed:I really want to be on stage.
I want to do a live show.
I think this time was the first step towards that.
I want you to see him standing on stage.
Birthdaystaff: Does Japan or country have anything to do with it?
Unnämed: Nowadays, it's a world where you can do anything with the Internet, regardless of the country.
I want to be on stage.
Birthdaystaff: At that time, I wasn't a Vtuber, but rather a real-life figure?
Unnämed: I don't think I'll show any realistic appearance. Me.
I think the only thing I can think of is 3D.
For singers who don't show their faces, they only show shadows.
Connect by sending in English
Birthdaystaff: I think the main focus is on streaming and communicating in English, is there a reason for it?
Unnämed: It's easy to connect with many different people, in English.
That's the biggest thing, and the fact that I started working in English is the biggest thing.
I was originally a Japanese person who worked overseas, so it's easy to learn English.
BirthdaystaffBy the way, which is easier to talk about, English or Japanese?
Unnämed:Hmm, of course, it's Japanese!
But actually, when I think about it in English and in Japanese, I sometimes get quite confused.
I speak four languages: Japanese, English, Korean, and Thai.
Birthdaystaff:That's amazing!
Unnämed: More than 90% of my job is English.
Unnämed's "mama" is a divine presence for fans too!
Birthdaystaff: Was U-san's illustrations drawn by someone overseas?
Unnämed:I agree. The Vietnamese illustrator who drew this body was also known as the Vietnamese illustrator.Crab (@Kanishiima)"That's right.
This guy also drew the illustration for "Summer Song" and he's working hard together.
Manager: For U-san fans, Kanishiima is also a godlike thing! (lol)
Birthdaystaff:That's right! (lol)
Unnämed: There's a word "Amen"?
"Crab Men" or "Umen"! (lol)
Birthdaystaff: How do you meet people like this?
Unnämed:I've been a fan to begin with.
Like "My Favorite Girl" (lol)
I'm already a Kanishiima fan!
I saw him drawing about himself, and he seems to be the one who really draws some really attractive illustrations.
They drew things like "Summer Song" and Live2D).
In the VTuber industry, the person who draws live 2D is called a mom.
Birthdaystaff: So, Kanishiima is U-san's mom!
Let's worship it. (lol)
The original song is based on Unnämed's real experience.
Birthdaystaff:Fans are always looking forward to the release of U-san songs.
Where do you get your motivation and inspiration when writing original songs?
Unnämed:It's all real experience, what's singing about.
What I experienced and what I really thought.
Even if you really want to share what you think to others, it's still difficult to say it.
It creates misunderstandings. It seems that the meaning you really wanted to convey is not conveyed well.
When I feel like I want to keep it in some form, I find it very easy to play music.
I usually write songs when I can't help but feel like I'm not going to get out of it.
For Unnämed, "Singing is making connections."
Birthdaystaff: No, it's so cool!
I think you've tried out songs from a variety of genres up until now, but is there a genre you'd like to sing in the future?
Unnämed: This time I tried the EDM style,I would like to try a bit more pop and rap as well.Right.
This time we've also introduced some rap-like items, but I'd like to try out some serious rap.
I also want to sing with someone. Even original songs.
On the cover song, I also sang a song called "Dance" in Thailand with a friend, which also received a million views.
Birthdaystaff:Is there anyone who would like to collaborate with you?
Unnämed:I'm not a VTuber.
I think it would be fun to sing alongside singers and artists who are active on the Internet, rather than VTubers.
I think it would be fun to be able to go beyond the boundaries of VTubers.
Birthdaystaff: I'm looking forward to it!
Is it possible to collaborate with real artists?
Unnämed:I think it's possible!
I'd like to try it.
A letter from U-rei that will make you smile
Birthdaystaff: You communicate closely with your fans through hashtags and other means.
What do fans' messages and comments look like for U-san?
Unnämed:It's like a letter, very much for me.
I think the fans also post them like fan letters.
For me, it feels like I'm reading a letter.
I love letters, so it's so great!
I love it.
Flowers and letters.
Birthdaystaff: Even in the support ads, they even held flowers!
Unnämed: Because all the fans know that they love flowers.
Birthdaystaff: How do you feel when you see the hashtag "#dear_u_san"?
Unnämed: I feel like I'm reading a letter, but sometimes there are kids who write silly things.
To make yourself laugh.
"Look, look," and when I see it, I also laugh, "Damn it! I laughed at this!" (laughs)
He's trying to make you smile.
I don't know how to say it in Japanese, but in English it is "caring."
Is the word "compassion" similar?
It's amazing how he feels that he's caring about it.
Everyone knows I live alone, so I know that they're worried about me.
I feel every day that they convey things like, "We're connected," "We're watching," and "I still love you today."
For Unnämed, what does communication with U-rei?
Birthdaystaff: As U-san said, I think they have a very close relationship with fans, but what does communication with fans look like for U-san?
Unnämed: After all, it's the Internet, so this is an environment where connections can easily be broken.
Some people delete their accounts and go somewhere before they know it, and some people who have my information may just reveal it without thinking about it and disappear.
It's an environment where you can use both good and bad things.
In that sense, building trust in an Internet environment is extremely difficult.
Especially if you're an honest person like me (lol)
That's why I think it's important.
I've been thinking about why everyone spends time on the Internet, but it's because I'm a little tired of the real world.
Because there are times when you want to take your avatar in the virtual world like you do, and keep a little distance from reality.
On the Internet, people don't use their real names, and I think almost all people don't show their faces.
In this context, a place where you can connect with your heart...
Whether it's a lie or not, I think that these parts will blend in, but it's like an environment where you can interact with the person you want to be.
Even among these, there is always the bond that can be born.
I feel that way.
I think it's attractive.
Birthdaystaff: I also saw U-san's social media, and I thought it was really wonderful to see both U-san and U-rei people having feelings for each other.
Unnämed: Recently, a Thai organizer has been planning to "gift reception."
When they attended an event in Thailand, they said, "We will collect letters and presents from fans, check the contents before handing them over."
This kind of trigger is the Internet.
People in Thailand have prepared it, and Taiwanese and Japanese people are doing things like, "How can we deliver things to Thailand?" (laughs).
Thank you very much.
What I want to do with U-rei is XX!
Birthdaystaff:Is there anything you would like to try with your fans in the future?
Unnämed:After all, music is the best part of my life.
I would like to create a project where all the fans will be involved in their own music video.
I think the project itself will be announced soon.
Birthdaystaff: What are the specific ways to participate?
Unnämed: Right, the thing I can talk about now is... I guess I'll be participating in the "illustrations."
For example, everyone who supports me is thinking about "U-reisona," a character design, that looks like a character design when they're cheering for U-san.
It's a project that uses that.
Birthdaystaff: That's interesting!
If there are any fans support advertisements like this one in the future, do you think you'd like to prepare another surprise project?
Unnämed:I agree.
It depends on how far you can do, but since you've been receiving a lot of super chats and donations, there are times when you don't have to spend it on your activities.
I can't do luxury myself, so if that's the case, I'd like to try luxury here.
What is your future vision for Unnämed?
Birthdaystaff:As U-san, what kind of activities do you have in the future?
Unnämed:The other day, I wrote down what I would like to try 100 of them.
In the anime, zoLike 100 things you want to try before you become a mobi.
I told you in the Twitter space that you saw that.
I think we should try writing it too, and I think we only had 88 of them.
It would be great if we could fulfill that first.
Birthdaystaff: Can you please let me know if there are 2 or 3 items?
Unnämed:Hmm, it's embarrassing lol
I like to use voicemails, so I guess it's narration.
You can see from Lore video, but I also like acting.
I'd like to work as a voice.
After, I want to sing some kind of theme songThat's what?
I want to do a concert in 3DThat's what?
I wrote about anything other than musicians:
I want to have a dog... (lol)
There was a time when I was struggling to find myself trying to "I don't know what to do next."
This was especially true last December, but there was a time when I complained to my friend that I didn't have the confidence to live anymore.
At that time, he was told, "It's fine, why not live. It's not that, but Ah! Why don't you have a cat?"
When I asked him, "Why?" he said, "No, if you have a cat, you won't die."
When I said, "I prefer a dog, not a cat," she said, "Then it's fine to have a dog" (laughs).
I want to have a dog.
To keep a dog, you have to be independent.
The apartment I live in now is pet-free (lol)
Also, if you don't have a solid income, you won't be able to buy food.
That's what I think will give you a variety of opportunities.
My mascot character has a dog called "Mephisto."
This dog is a demon.
He's the devil that appears in Lore Video.
I'm sorry to Mephisto, but I want a real dog, not a demon (lol)
Birthdaystaff: What kind of person do you want to be in the next five or ten years?
Unnämed:I haven't thought about it.
Every day is my best.
Birthdaystaff:I see. This time I talked to you and got the impression that you are "living in the present"!
Unnämed: When you work for a company, you're told to think about yourself in three, five, or ten years from now.
I haven't thought about it at all, myself.
I don't know when he'll be gone.
That's why I think even if you support your favorite girl with all your might, you should support your favorite girl while you can.
I'm not thinking about it.
Just update the best you can now every time.
Birthdaystaff: So, first, let's start with keeping a dog! (lol)
Unnämed:Wow! I'm starting to get a headache! (lol)
Birthdaystaff:(lol)
That's all for this interview!
Thank you for your cooperation, U-san!

summary
What did you think of the interview with Unnämed that you've received over two episodes?😊
It would be an honor if you enjoyed the past, music, and relationships with fans that were spoken directly from the person himself.✨
In the interview, I was impressed by the contrast between humorous and serious talk about the serious side!
The way he talks about music in particular is truly a musician! !
Continuing to face your background and musicUnnämed was a very lovely person, with every word he weighed heavily on.
Once again, those who planned the support advertisement and supporters,They planned a mini live show and were happy to take on the interview.Thank you, Unnämed!
Our company will continue to provide full support to those who are continuing to work on their favorites!
