What is the Korean movie “Stage Greetings (무대인사)”?

A stage greeting is an official event that coincides with the release of a movie, in which the director, actors, and other cast members come to the theater to talk about the highlights of the movie and greet the audience.

Movie stage greetings are also held in Korea, and many people may be thinking, ``I'd like to participate in a movie stage greeting featuring my favorite actor or idol!''

This time, I will explain in detail the situation regarding greetings on movie stages in Korea, including the author's personal experiences.♪

Concentrated on the first week of screening: Announcements are usually made 1-2 weeks in advance

In Korea, "stage greetings" (무대인사) are often held during the first week of a movie's release.

Information about stage greetings is usually announced one to two weeks before the movie's release.

Therefore, if you want to participate in the movie's stage greeting, we recommend checking the schedule for the first week of release.✅

The stage greeting schedule will be announced on the movie theater's official Instagram and official website.

Ticketing is “first come, first served”! Anyone can participate by purchasing a movie ticket.

Now, you may be wondering, "How do I buy tickets for a movie stage greeting?"

Tickets for Korean movie stage greetings areFirst-come, first-served system called ticketingIt is generally sold in

It's first-come, first-served, so anyone who can secure a ticket can participate.

Competition is extremely high when popular works or popular actors or idols appear, and tickets often sell out quickly.

Movie theaters where stage greetings are often held in Korea are "CGV", "LOTTE CINEMA", and "MEGABOX".

Details on how to purchase each ticket will be provided later.

Please note that even if a screening event includes a stage greeting, the ticket price remains the same as a regular movie viewing price.

Where can I check the schedule for Korean movie stage greetings?

Once you have decided to go, the next thing you need to know is where and when the event will be held.😣

You can check the schedule for Korean movie stage greetings on the movie theater's official Instagram or official website.

Therefore, it is recommended that you check the release dates of movies starring your favorite actors and idols in advance.

How to get tickets for Korean movie stage greetings

Here we will introduce three ways to get tickets for the stage greeting.

Please get a ticket and go see Oshi.♪

Ticketing on your own

The first method is to book and purchase tickets yourself.

If you buy tickets on your own, you may not be able to get tickets for popular screenings.

In fact, I myself have had the experience of not being able to get tickets for the screening I wanted to go to.

However, the sense of accomplishment when you can get a ticket on your own is exceptional.😊

If you want to get tickets on your own, please give it a try.

Request ticketing to an agency

If you find it difficult to book tickets on your own, you can also hire an agency.

The cost varies depending on the agency, but the probability of getting a ticket is higher than if you try on your own.

However, since fees and other fees are added, the cost tends to be higher than ticketing on your own.

However, if you really want to participate or want to increase your chances of winning, using an agency is an option.

Purchase tickets at the cinema counter

The last option is to purchase tickets on the same day at the theater counter.

Ticket sales start date - same dayIf seats are available until then, you can purchase tickets at the cinema terminal or at the ticket window.

However, the purchase method may be limited to online reservations only, so it is important to check the sales method carefully in advance.

Popular movies are often sold out by the day before, so it's quite rare to be able to purchase them at the theater.😣
