Jungkook JAPAN:

Are most of the participants from Japan?

Jungkook JAPAN:
We are recruiting "only" from Japanese people. If we were recruiting people from other countries, we might get more people, but we're limiting ourselves to Japan for the time being.

We receive inquiries from both Korean and overseas people asking, ``Can we also participate?'', but each time we are determined, ``It's only for Japanese people.''

"Japanese Jungkook fans are celebrating Jungkook. I want to convey that he is loved so much in Japan as well." Especially recently, the opportunities to come to Japan have decreased due to the influence of the coronavirus.

What was your reaction when this "receipt pusher advertisement" came out?

Jungkook JAPAN:
After all,A voice said, ``That's great, I wanted to go.''

It was only available in some areas, so I thought it would be great if it were rolled out nationwide.

Now, I think that advertising requires coordination with the media, companies, and supermarkets.

However, I would be happy if the advertising results were good this time as well, and it could be rolled out in all regions in the future.

Do you feel that the condition of ``only in some areas'' requires a little preparation to use donations from fans?

Jungkook JAPAN:
In fact, they arrived with the message that ``we will continue to prioritize Korean advertising and donations,'' and ``if you don't mind, please join us.''

Even so, everyone is willing to donate to help Jungkook.

Even if they don't go, there are some people who are happy and say, ``My name is in this ad!''

There is a strong feeling that everyone wants to support Jungkook.

When Jungkook was discharged from military service today, he said "Thank you, Bass" on Weverse Live.

Jungkook JAPAN:
To be honest, when I first heard "100,000 yen," I thought, "Huh? 100,000 yen!?"

While I was doing a lot of research, I noticed that it was an advertising format that no one else had done, so I thought, ``This might be interesting.''

The store has a scale of 26 stores, and I felt that it would be very attractive if it was in an area where people nearby could shop.

Is there a point where you say, ``This is the secret to receiving advertisements!''?

Jungkook JAPAN:
As for your point, I would like to ask you to make sure that people from the area can actually participate.

Ah, in my handsIt was an advertisement that would remain in a tangible form, so that aspect was also appealing.

Isn't it nice to have a shape that you can hold?

I think the feeling of ``I have it in my hands'' and ``This is something special'' was really great.

Sincerely, I think Master's photos and Jungkook's photos are really good, but photos would be black and white, and illustrations would be safer in terms of copyright.

I have already asked the artist, ``Please use this if there is a Jungkook concert in Japan in the future.''

▶ Potential and challenges of seat promotion advertising

The other day, you talked about ``emphasizing topicality,'' but how many points out of 10 did you think this receipt promotion advertisement received?

Jungkook JAPAN:
To be honest, it's about 6 or 7 points.

BirthdayJAPAN staff:
May I ask why that amount attracted attention?

Jungkook JAPAN:
This advertisement was only carried out at specific supermarkets in certain areas, so it seems that there were many people who wanted to go but were unable to go.

I think it would be even more popular if it could be implemented at supermarkets nationwide.

Even if the price goes up a little, I think it's totally worth it for 200,000 to 300,000 yen if the scale becomes larger.

Do you find it more attractive to have a sense of scale even if it costs a certain amount of money?

Jungkook JAPAN:
That's right. I think it would be popular among Japanese people, but if it were implemented in over 100 stores nationwide, I think the overseas fan base would respond as well.

It's sure to become a hot topic if it's featured in Korean news or spread on social media.

If it is implemented in "only some areas of Kansai" like this time, it will end up being just "I bought it for you" and "I received a receipt".

Still, if it were to be rolled out nationwide, fans from all regions would naturally become involved, and I think it would be even more exciting.

If it were nationwide, I think there would be a lot of posts on X asking, ``Where can I buy it?'' and ``I want to go there too!''

Or perhaps it would have had more of an impact if it had been rolled out in more rural areas.

In Osaka, for example, if you go to Tsuruhashi,BirthdayThere are a lot of advertisements and cafe events are also popular.

Still, if receipt advertising was implemented in rural areas, I think people would be very happy and say, ``This is happening near me!''

You participated as a monitor this time, but were there any difficulties or stumbling blocks during implementation?

Jungkook JAPAN:
There were no special problems or difficulties regarding the receipt push advertisement.

The only thing I was worried about was, "How can I notify you?"

Receipts have a short part that visually conveys information, and I was planning to make a flyer, so I was really worried about whether it would be easy to convey in any design.

This time,BirthdayI was really impressed when JAPAN prepared a sample for advertising.

The task of submitting advertising data was also at the last minute, so it might have been even more difficult without their support.

“If you don’t have it, do it yourself” The reason for the birth of “Jungkook JAPAN”

BirthdayJAPAN staff:
Lastly, please tell us about your fan base.

The "Jungkook JAPAN" account was started in August 2020, right? Have you always been operating alone?

Jungkook JAPAN:
Yes, I'm doing it alone.

Jungkook didn't have a fanbase account in Japan, so I thought, ``If there isn't one, I'll try making one myself.''

This was right around the time when the coronavirus was starting to spread, and the situation was like, ``Are there going to be concerts in the future? Will they be cancelled?''

When I went to an exhibition of Jungkook's master, I won a rock-paper-scissors tournament and stayed to see a life-sized panel of Jungkook.

My daughter made a video of that moment on Fox, and when I posted it, it went viral...and apparently even made it into the Korean news.

Now, on the day of the canceled Mizuho PayPay Dome performance in Fukuoka, I held a panel and posted a photo of it, and my overseas fan base started following me.

Jungkook JAPAN:
Thank you (lol)

Originally it was just a personal account with a different name, but then I realized, ``Ah, this kind of fanbase exists.''

But since Jungkook didn't have a fan base in Japan, I decided to try it again. That continues to this day.

It's been running for five years now.

Jungkook JAPAN:
Thank you very much. But when I'm doing it alone, even just posting a single post leaves me feeling anxious and wondering, "Is this okay?"

We will continue to operate the site while learning from our overseas fanbase, but we may receive feedback from time to time.

Even so, I believe that I am able to keep going because there are people who continue to follow me, who cooperate with me, and who encourage me.

Sometimes I also post silly things like ``I ate miso ramen'' that are indispensable to other fanbases (lol).

But I think it's wonderful to have such a human touch and warmth.

Connection with overseas fan base

senilJAPAN staff:
You also have connections with your overseas fan base.

Jungkook JAPAN:
Yes. Since I started with a fanbase from overseas, I didn't really understand how difficult Japan was at first.

The overseas fan base can immediately ask in the group chat.

I'm starting to chat more and more, and I'm worrying again... I'm very active.

BirthdayJAPAN staff:
Which country are there more?

Jungkook JAPAN:
The Philippines, Indonesia, Latin America, Morocco, Russia, America, Korea...it's really diverse.

The country names come up right away and it's somewhat diverse.

BirthdayJAPAN staff:
What about collaborations with fan bases from other countries?

Jungkook JAPAN:
There was no collaboration at first, butAs we started doing more and more advertising, we started getting more and more people asking, ``Would you like to work with us?''

We were invited by our Korean fanbase to collaborate once this year, although it wasn't a birthday ad.

Which recommended advertisements would you like to try more?

BirthdayJAPAN staff:
Are there any promotional ads you would like to try in the future?

Jungkook JAPAN:
Honestly, I understand that it is difficult financially. However, my dreams include setting off fireworks, putting on a drone show, and trying my hand at wrapping trains!

Oh, and I’m also looking for outdoor projects!

Also, even if it doesn't go so far as to wrap planes, I recently saw an advertisement that displays photos all over the seats and overhead bins on planes.

I think that's good too.

I am a “one-pointed person” and rather than compete with numbers.I want to create something that has a strong impact, even if it's just one thing that makes people say, "Wow, this is it!"
