Saikoto FANDOMMr.: The five members of the management team are considering and discussing various things and moving forward with plans.
We also disseminate information on Instagram and X.
The members of the 2nd management group are asked to post about things related to Nishi Koto every day on the Nishi Kouto FANDOM open chat.
During birthdays, we split into three groups: the advertising group, the cup holder group, and the reward group.
Birthdaystaff: How do you differentiate between X and Instagram?
Saikoto FANDOM：I started using Instagram around January last year.
Since there are some people who don't play X, I decided to actively use Instagram in the hope of visually appealing to Saikoto-kun.
Over the past year, I've gained 2,900 followers (as of the time of the interview, 3,400 as of May 2024), so I'm thinking of continuing like this.

When did the fandom itself start up?
Saikoto FANDOMMr.: This account itself was launched in October 2020.
It seems that it was originally started by people who have been supporting Saikoto-kun since the beginning of ``PRODUCE 101 SEASON 2''.
Birthdaystaff: Have there been any changes in the original members? ?
Saikoto FANDOMsan: That's right.
Birthdaystaff: What made you decide to become a fandom administrator?
Saikoto FANDOMMs.: Myself,BirthdayI didn't know much about the project, but withBirthdayI saw that they were planning something and once I got involved, I found out that I had a lot of fun planning the advertisements and cup holders.
This is the first time I have learned that there is such a way to support others.
There was a time when we were looking for new management members because the management was resigning.
At that time, I thought it would be painful if there were no more people to do big projects like before, and Nishi Koto-kun's fandom would be the only one unable to communicate anything.
I myself have a job and a family, so I thought I wouldn't be able to do much, but I wanted to do something for Nishi Koto-kun and Nishi MINI-chan, so I decided to try running it.
The new management members have devised a popular project, “Western Day”!
Birthdaystaff: How did you consult with your predecessors about management policies and other matters? ?
Saikoto FANDOMMr.: Last year, one of my predecessors stayed on, and he taught me the flow of the year.
In the midst of all this, we all consulted and managed the project, thinking, ``Let's start something new.''

When I was able to meet Kouto-kun in person, I told him to ``react to Onishihi'' and his reactions on SNS increased.
Birthdaystaff：For example, what kind of theme will you have on the day of the west? ?
Saikoto FANDOMSan: For example, Nishi Koto-kun is a regular on NHK's program, and April 2024 will be his second year as a regular, so we celebrated.

Birthdaystaff: Do you have any tips or tricks for managing your fandom?
Saikoto FANDOMMr.:First of all, when selecting management members, we focused on their personalities.
Currently, there are three second-year management members, and when it came time to bring in a new member, I wanted to choose someone I had met and talked to and could trust, so I approached them.
I think the key to running it smoothly is that we chose our management members in this way.
Birthdaystaff: You were a scout! Did you know each other before?
Saikoto FANDOMsan: That's right. It spread from X and we even met on site.
I also hope that everyone (management members) and fans can work in the same direction.
Birthdaystaff:It's important, isn't it? Next, please tell us what you are careful about when disseminating information!
Saikoto FANDOMMr.: “Please do not violate the rules.”Is that so?
When I upload photos, I try to use ones taken from official sources.
The rest is ``timing”. We try not to overlap the timing with official announcements.
If it coincides with the official announcement, the post will get lost.
Then “word usage” is also careful. Everyone is checking and making adjustments down to the smallest details.
What did you gain from your fandom activities?
Birthdaystaff: Is there anything that makes you feel glad about being part of a fandom?
Saikoto FANDOM：Personally, from X I was able to make friends all over the country! The rest is rejuvenation. lol
I think you will definitely rejuvenate by doing Oshikatsu.
Thanks to Saikoto-kun, my friends who I haven't seen in a long time have said to me, ``You look younger now.''
Last year, when I told Nishi Koto-kun at Yotonton that ``I put out a vision advertisement in Times Square,'' he was really surprised and seemed happy.
When he saw our message, he said, ``I wanted to go see it too. It was amazing.''
As a fandom, we were able to put out one big advertisement, and I was quite happy when I realized that it reached the person in question.
Birthdaystaff: It was delivered to the person in question! That makes me happy.
Saikoto FANDOMMr.: (Another management member) On the other hand, until I became the management side,BirthdayI've never participated in a festival like Onishi Hi.
However, since I became the organizer, I have come to understand the difficulty of planning and events and the feelings of the organizers, and I hope that I can spread the word to people who have never participated before.
(Another management member said) It can be tough at times, but I feel a sense of accomplishment afterward. The rest is about connections with everyone.
Even when it's tough, I think we're able to work hard for Kouto and support each other to get through it.
Birthdaystaff：This is an experience that comes from managing a fandom.
Deep sea level... How did you get hooked on the Saikoto swamp?
Birthdaystaff: Let's move on to the next question! When and how did you all fall in love with Nishi Koto-san? ?
Saikoto FANDOMMs.: When my daughter asked me to watch Nippu 2, I was hooked because the dancing was really good!
Not only that, I fell in love with Saikoto-kun's good personality.
Birthdaystaff: How would you describe your personality? ?
Saikoto FANDOM: I think it's a hot feeling. I may be trying to be cool or shy, but I have something very passionate inside.

I was the same way, when my daughter was watching Nippon 2, I just looked at her sideways at first.
But on the last day, when I came in 12th place and I was thinking, ``Nishi Kouto-kun won't make his debut,'' I started to realize that ``Maybe I'm a Nishi Kouto-kun fan.''
I think I like her passionate voice and passion.
Birthdaystaff: I was so excited when I heard it! (Laughs) That's wonderful.
Saikoto FANDOMMr.: (Another management member) I started watching ``PRODUCE 101 JAPAN SEASON 1'' and thought, ``Maybe I'll watch it when Japan Season 2 starts.''
My first impression was that she was a dancer, so I thought she looked frivolous, but when I looked at her, I was surprised to find out that she wasn't that much of a dancer!
When Nishikoto-kun is with his family, he's the youngest member, and when his friends fail (at the audition), he cries a lot...
When I saw scenes like that, I thought that it was different from the ska style I had seen, and I fell in love with it.

I've never endorsed an idol before, so this is my first time doing so.
I happened to see Nippon 2 in an advertisement and found it interesting!
There was a kid at work who liked Korea, so when I told him that I was watching Nippon TV 2, he said, ``Please choose your favorite!'' The first person I chose was Koto Nishi.
I had no interest in idols at all, so I chose the person who looked the least like an idol.
When the first ranking was 4th, Nishi Kouto-kun's reaction was, ``I'm not number 1.'' I thought, ``He's looking at me from above.''
However, as I watched him, I realized that he had surprisingly low self-esteem, and was extremely frustrated... But seeing him persevere despite this, I became interested in him!
Even now, there are parts of her that aren't able to fully become idols, but I think there are gaps in those parts as well, which makes her cute.

I also watched Nippu 2 during the coronavirus pandemic, and I started paying attention to their dancing and singing from a very early stage.
I thought her face, body, and everything else was cool!
Even during the audition, I worked hard to write lyrics that I had no experience with.
Even now, after a show, even though I'm supposed to be working hard, people send me emails like, "I'm going to try harder, so please watch."
That kind of ambition is something I really respect and love.

Saikoto FANDOMMs.: I have paid private email, so I don't receive emails very often, but each email is a huge blow. lol
I usually send them around midnight, and it feels like the Nishi MINI-chans are in their graves every time (lol)
You're going to have trouble sleeping, guys. lol
Usually, I send them a minimum number of characters, but when a live performance ends or when there's a break, I send them extremely long texts.
They don't look like idols, they show a real side.

Saikoto FANDOM：First of all, we decided on the theme and concept!
The theme for 2024 is Koto-kun, who is cool, cute, and shows off various expressions and gaps!
``Koto'' has an idol feel, ``hiroto'' has a creative and stylish feel, and ``Hiro-kun'' has a cute feel.✖️hiroto✖️Hiro-kun” and decided on the theme color!

Birthdaystaff：BirthdayWhat are the criteria for selecting events and advertisements?
Saikoto FANDOMMr.: After collecting money from everyone, we decided, ``This is how much I want Capho, this is how much I want to get rewards,'' and I use the rest to run advertisements!
I look for advertisements that are cheap and fit within my budget, and then I choose advertisements that will catch Nishi-kun's attention!
Although we often present them in major cities, we also try to think of projects that anyone can participate in (even people from rural areas).
Last year, it was Aeon Morley Fantasy, which is located all over the country.
Birthdaystaff:Aeon can be found anywhere in Japan! What has gotten the most reaction so far?
Saikoto FANDOM: Times Square was great.
You can watch it on YouTube, and someone from overseas even took a video and shared it with X!
Aeon Morley Fantasy was also enjoyed.
People with small children may not be able to go far, but they were happy to know that Aeon was nearby.
Birthdaystaff: What kind of motivationBirthdayAre you making any plans?
Saikoto FANDOMsan: I think it's just that I want Nishi-kun to be happy!
Birthdaystaff：Your birthday is in June, so in what month do you start preparing? ?
Saikoto FANDOM：I think it will be around the end of January. This time, considering the selection of management members, it took about six months.
Birthdaystaff: Half a year! It takes half of the year to prepare each year. Lastly, is there anything you would like to do as a fandom in the future?
Saikoto FANDOMSan: There are some difficult parts about it as a fandom, but I'd love to get together at Nishi MINI!
